This is Not A Film Festival

About photo gallery contact

“This Is Not A Film Festival” was a video/live performance installation art piece. Besides a funeral procession for art, it consisted of a horde of Vikings watching a ten foot high tower of televisions. The televisions were painted white and broadcast a 45 minute program of absurdity.

The footage came from many sources. It included short films from myself, clips from eccentric European filmmakers such as Bunuel and Herzog, old newsreel footage, nuclear explosions, and static.

For those of you foolish enough to ask for the meaning of this piece, I refer you to Tristan Tzara’s excellent “DaDa Manifesto.
